Just Breathe is built to be a calm, private place. This page explains exactly what the website and the Chrome extension do — and do not do — with your data. The short answer: almost nothing.

    The short version

We don't collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. Nothing you do in Just Breathe is sent to us or to anyone else.

    The website (justbreathe.cc)

The site is served as static files. Your chosen language is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so the site remembers it between visits — that value never leaves your device. We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics. Fonts are self-hosted and served from our own site, so your browser makes no request to Google Fonts or any other third party for them.

    The Chrome extension

The extension stores your preferences — chosen language and reminder settings — locally on your device via the browser's storage. Breathing reminders run entirely on your device using the browser's alarm and notification features; nothing is transmitted anywhere. The extension requests only the storage, alarms, and notifications permissions. It has no access to your browsing history, the pages you visit, your tabs' content, or any other site data. If you turn on the optional reminder to breathe while pages load, the extension only detects that a page is taking a while to load — never its address or content — and even that stays on your device.

    What we never do

We never collect personal data, never sell or share data, never track you across sites, and never show ads. There is no server that receives your breathing activity, because there is no such server.

    Changes & contact

If this policy changes, the date above will reflect the latest version. Questions about your privacy on Just Breathe can be raised through justbreathe.cc.

    Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Petar Markovic, Roonstr. 16, 12203 Berlin, Germany — email hello@petar.com. The same details appear in our Imprint.

    Hosting & server logs

The website is delivered as static files through our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit, that provider may automatically process standard server-log data — your IP address, date and time of the request, the resource requested, the referrer, and your browser and operating system — to deliver the site and keep it secure and available. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website). This data is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify you.

    Local storage on your device

Your language choice (and, in the browser extension, your reminder settings) is stored locally on your device via the browser's storage. It is functional, never transmitted to us, and not used for tracking, so no consent banner is required.

No tracking, ads, or third parties

We run no analytics, no advertising, and set no tracking cookies. Fonts are self-hosted, so no data is sent to Google Fonts. Our CDN provider may operate servers internationally; such providers rely on EU-approved safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) for any transfer.

    Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object (Art. 21). To exercise any of these, contact the controller above. Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on a server, in most cases we hold no personal data about you to act on.

    Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For our location this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
